CARE Awards | Gold Respect: Task 5

This is the fifth and final task I’ve completed to earn my gold respect badge. To accomplish this activity, I needed to create a brochure about belonging to PBS, therefore, I created an inside and outside information brochure. The inside brochure includes information about the opportunites/events there, what the students are like at PBS, and overall information about the people the school. The outside information brochure includes things that will draw others attention, such as: the CARE values and it’s colours and where Panmure Bridge School is located.

I enjoyed completing this activity because I was able to display information brochures that could interest others in Panmure Bridge School.

CARE Awards | Gold Respect: Task 4

This is the fourth activity I’ve completed to earn my gold respect badge. To complete this activity, I needed to create a poster showcasing life at PBS. In the poster I created, I included information such as, our school whakatauki, the CARE values, events that take place during school, and more.

I enjoyed this activity because creating this poster can help others learn more about Panmure Bridge School.

CARE Awards | Gold Respect: Task 3

This is the third task I’ve completed to achieve my gold respect badge. To complete this task, I needed to create a presentation on a respected New Zealand leader. A New Zealand leader I decided to choose was Jacinda Adern. In my presentation, I included information such as: who is Jacinda Adern, how did Jacinda Adern become famous, where did Jacinda grow up, etc.

I found this activity fascinating because I was able to learn new aspects on Jacinda Adern by using my smart searching skills.

CARE Awards | Gold Respect: Task 2

This is the second activity I’ve completed to achieve my gold respect badge. My task was to reasearch Stan Walkers song ‘Climb’. I listened to the song and created a DLO explaining what the song is about and what I thought about it. Something I found interesting about the song was how he talks about how he learns to never give up when facing a challenge.

I found this task entertaining because the song was really enjoyable and it gives out a great message to others.

CARE Awards | Gold Respect: Task 1

This is the first task I have completed to achieve my gold respect badge. To complete this task, I needed to make dinner for my family. The meal I made for my family was mince with rice. I had my parents supervise and help at some points to make this meal to make sure I make it properly.

I found this activity helpful because during this activity I was able to help out my parents with dinner.

Here are photos of the meal I made for dinner:

Confidence | 31 – derful

This is my last task to earn my confidence CARE award.

Today I completed the teachers created task. The activity I attempted was called 31-derful. 31-derful is a math game when the players have 25 cards. There needs to be 5 rows, and 5 cards across the row. Next, you need to re-arrange the cards so all the rows and colums add to 31. I worked with two math groups. Everyone needed to particapate and work together to get it done. We needed to use our addition and subtraction skills to solve this activity. It took many attemps but at the end we completed it.

I found this task fun because I got the opportunity to build up my confidence by interacting and working with other people instead of the same.
