LI: To learn about the Tongan culture and traditions in honour of Tongan Language Week.
This week is Tongan language week, where we celebrate the Tongan culture and traditions. We learnt about all different things about the Tongan culture, such as: the food they eat, the language they speak, and facts about the people and their island.
In groups we created a DLO explaining everything about the Tongan culture and traditions. One of the tasks we needed to include was a screencastify showing us translating a Tongan conversation into English. One of my favourite parts about the Tongan culture is the variety of foods they would usally eat in their culture.
I found this activity fun because it gave us the opportuntiy to express our culture or learn something new.
