After watching the videos, I got started on the actvites. To create my own song, I used Sumotunes. The song I created included drums, a round synth bass, and a funky guitar. I decided to use these instruments because after I experimented with the different instruments, I picked out these three as they sound good together.

Today I have completed another Summer Learning Journey activity. The Summer Learning Journey is a program that helps students keep learning throughout the Summer holidays.

I first watched all the videos to help me make sure I complete this task properly. After watching the videos, I got started on the actvites. For the kick start activity, I needed to create my own silhouette art. I decided to use my silhouette painting artwork. The silhouette artwork has tui with a background that has multiple cool colours that are blended together.

For the step it up activity, I needed to do the same thing as the kick start but instead of one image, I needed to do multiple ones of it. On a google draw, I decided to divide it up into four sections where I put the same drawing (Fantail) in the center of each square. The colours for the backgrounds are summer colours and colours of the Fantails are the opposite colour of it’s background.

I found this activity fun because I was to learn and expierence a new type of art that I now can do anytime.

I decided to attempt the kick start activity. The task was to draw Maui as a cartoon. I first watched all the videos to help me make sure I complete this task properly. After watching the videos, I got started on drawing Maui. The way I drew Maui was based on how he looked in one of his stories called ‘How Maui slowed the Sun’. To draw Maui, I used shapes, curve line tool, and images for the jaw bone and the piupiu. Finally, I just added some extra detail which kind of made it look like the cover of the story.

I found this activity fun because I was able to put my drawing skills to the test by using the tools on google draw.

I decided to draw a jaguar and once I finished drawing, I coloured in the closed shapes. For the step it up activity, I needed to do the same thing as the kick start activity but just draw it on a google draw. I decided to draw the same picture as it would make it a bit easier to complete as I have already drawn it.

I then went searching for famous portraits that would be easy to recreate. I found a portrait that would be easy enough to recreat as it is really basic. Once I took my photo, I edit it to try and make it look more like the portrait.

I found this activity difficult because I found it hard to get in the right position so it matches the original portait.
