I tenei ra kua oti i ahau tetahi atu mahi Haerenga Ako Raumati. Ko te Haerenga Ako Raumati he kaupapa hei awhina i nga tauira ki te ako tonu puta noa i nga hararei o te Raumati.
I whakatau ahau ki te ngana ki te mahi whana timata. Ko te mahi he tuhi a Maui hei pakiwaituhi. I te tuatahi i mataki au i nga riipene ataata katoa hei awhina i ahau ki te whakaoti tika i tenei mahi. Whai muri i taku mataki i nga riipene whakaata, ka timata ahau ki te tuhi i a Maui. Ko te ahua o taku tuhi i a Maui i ahu mai i tana ahua i roto i tetahi o ana korero e kiia nei ko ‘How Maui slowed the Sun’. Ki te tuhi i a Maui, ka whakamahia e au he ahua, he taputapu raina pihi, he whakaahua mo te kauae me te piupiu. Ka mutu, ka taapirihia e au etahi korero taapiri he aha te ahua o te ahua o te uhi o te korero.
I kitea e au he mahi ngahau na te mea i taea e au te whakamatau i aku pukenga tuhi ma te whakamahi i nga taputapu i runga i te google draw.

Today I have completed another Summer Learning Journey activity. The Summer Learning Journey is a program that helps students keep learning throughout the Summer holidays.
I decided to attempt the kick start activity. The task was to draw Maui as a cartoon. I first watched all the videos to help me make sure I complete this task properly. After watching the videos, I got started on drawing Maui. The way I drew Maui was based on how he looked in one of his stories called ‘How Maui slowed the Sun’. To draw Maui, I used shapes, curve line tool, and images for the jaw bone and the piupiu. Finally, I just added some extra detail which kind of made it look like the cover of the story.
I found this activity fun because I was able to put my drawing skills to the test by using the tools on google draw.
